A host of Formula 1 drivers descended on central London for a spectacular show featuring old and new F1 cars, live music performances in front of a packed crowd of thousands of fans. The demo took place on closed roads around Whitehall and Trafalgar Square.
Liberty Media are definitely showing their intentions to take the sport in a new direction and have made history in the process. It was the first time in Formula 1 history that all 10 race teams have come together outside of a race weekend to put on a public demonstration.
Stars and fan favourites including Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso and Daniel Ricciardo were all in the heart of the capital for the live show. However, Lewis Hamilton was the only driver missing from the line-up after deciding to go on holiday in preparation for this weekend's Grand Prix.
I didn’t manage to get the best vantage point but I managed to get some good shots of the drivers after they finished the demo and came to wave to the crowds. Alonso was definitely the most friendly of the bunch as he came up close to shake our hands and get selfies with us!
The gallery below contains images of all the drivers and keep an eye out for my next article about the cars!
